Parla Privacy Policy

A code-reconciled prelaunch notice.

This page deliberately records unresolved public-launch gates instead of publishing unsupported legal or provider claims.

Scope and status

Effective July 26, 2026. This notice covers the Parla prelaunch website and the inspected beta implementation. It is not a representation that Parla is publicly available in an app store.

Website information

The website receives ordinary request metadata needed to deliver and secure pages. Its support, deletion, and data-request forms collect only the information submitted for those purposes.

The existing site uses Google Analytics for page views and skips browser tracking when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled. Form fields, emails, request descriptions, and conversation content are not analytics properties.

Beta application data

The inspected beta can store a locally generated installation identifier, optional display name and region, learning language and preferences, companion selection, messages and generated replies, corrections, memory facts, progress events, and feedback.

The beta does not currently implement a production account/authentication flow, subscriptions, hosted product analytics, crash reporting, or push notification SDKs.

AI and infrastructure providers

Relevant message, profile, recent-conversation, and memory context is sent through the Parla API to OpenAI to generate replies, corrections, and memory candidates. Supabase provides beta database storage. Fly.io hosts this website; Resend delivers form email when configured.

Provider contractual retention, training settings, production regions, and international-transfer terms must be confirmed before a public store launch. Parla therefore remains in a non-live release state.

Deletion and requests

The inspected app exposes Settings → Privacy controls → Delete beta data. That operation deletes the matching Supabase installation row; database foreign keys cascade deletion to related conversations, messages, corrections, memory facts, saved phrases, and learning events.

The current beta deletion is installation-key based. It does not yet implement recent reauthentication, a resumable deletion job, provider-side deletion confirmation, or email completion notices. The web forms provide a support fallback and do not disclose whether an account or installation exists.

Contact

Questions and requests may be submitted through the Parla support pages or sent to ryan@assertionlabs.com. Do not send passwords, full payment information, identity documents, or unnecessary conversation content.
