What is Parla?

Parla is an AI-powered language-practice beta built around text conversation, gentle corrections, and useful continuity.

Is my companion a real person?

No. Parla companions are generated by AI. They can be consistent and useful for practice, but they are not human and can make mistakes.

Which languages are in the current beta?

The inspected onboarding UI exposes French, Spanish, and Japanese. Public store availability has not yet been verified.

Does Parla offer voice calls?

No. The inspected release is text-first and does not implement real-time voice calls.

What does Parla remember?

The beta can store a limited set of low-risk learning and conversation facts. It does not yet provide a complete memory-management interface.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. The beta includes Settings → Privacy controls → Delete beta data. This deletes the installation record and cascades related database rows.
